Mini-GUI Functions & Settings
Change the device settings of your AAVAA Device.
A
Blink Sensitivity
To customize blink responsiveness, use the Blink Sensitivity setting. This setting is represented by a sliding bar, which allows you to fine-tune the sensitivity level according to your preference.
Drag the slider to the left to decrease sensitivity. This makes the app more responsive to smaller, subtler facial gestures like blinking or clenching.
Drag the slider to the right to increase sensitivity. This means the app will require more pronounced or stronger facial gestures to register an action.
Adjust the slider until you find a sensitivity level that feels comfortable and intuitive for your usage.
B
Cursor Speed
To customize the speed of your Head Mouse, use the Cursor Speed setting. This setting is represented by a sliding bar, which allows you to fine-tune the sensitivity level according to your preference.
1. Increase speed: Turn the slider to the RIGHT for the cursor to respond quickly to small and subtle head movements.
2. Decrease speed: Drag the slider to the LEFT for the cursor to respond slower to your head movements.
Adjust the slider until you find a sensitivity level that feels comfortable and intuitive for your usage.
C
Clicking Preferences
In the settings, there is a section for configuring your blink Clicking Preferences. You can choose between clicking by blinking, clicking by keeping your head still, or combining the two options to better fit your preference.
Blink to Click allows you to perform mouse clicks simply by blinking your eyes. It translates your blinks into mouse clicks, enabling hands-free interaction with the interface.
Hold Gaze To Click allows you to perform mouse clicks by keeping your head still and holding your gaze on an area of the screen. You can adjust the amount of time it takes for the device to register this action as a click to better suit your preferences.
E
Re-Center Cursor
The “Re-Center Cursor” option in our app allows you to realign the cursor with your head position. It is often the case that the cursor does not match your head position, and this setting helps ensure accurate tracking and alignment.
If you notice the cursor is not aligned with your head position, follow these steps to recenter it:
1. Position your head straight and centered with your screen.
2. Using your actual mouse, click on the “Re-Center Cursor” button.**
3. The cursor will automatically position itself at the center of the screen.
**Warning: The cursor is automatically recentered every 8 seconds without the need of a mouse if no facial gesture actions (such as blinking or winking) are registered.
Next to the “Re-Center Cursor” button, there is an option displaying the amount of seconds it takes for the cursor to be recentered automatically. You can adjust this time setting to better fit your needs, ensuring the cursor realigns with your head position at your preferred interval.
F
Disconnect Your Device
Disconnect your AAVAA device with the “Disconnect” button.
Then head to your computer’s Bluetooth settings and remove your AAVAA device from the connected devices.**
**Warning: If your AAVAA device is not removed from your computer’s connected devices, it will not connect the next time it is turned on.
If this happens, simply turn off your device and remove it from your computer’s connected Bluetooth devices. Then begin from step A.
I
Head Movement Calibration
The “Head Movement Calibration” option in our app ensures that the movement of your head corresponds accurately to the movement of your cursor. While your device is delivered calibrated, meaning you will rarely need to use this setting, you may need to calibrate if you notice that the cursor’s movement does not correspond to your head movements or seems random, indicating that the device’s IMU head tracking needs calibration.
Once inside the calibration setting simply lay your device on a flat surface, as indicated by the Mini-GUI, and click on the “Begin Calibration” button.
You will be notified if any errors occurred during the calibration. When the calibration is complete you will be able to return to the dashboard by clicking “Done.”
